Height Restoration

Target the ideal positioning for “anatomical height restoration”, especially in wedge fracture.

Tripod-Fix maximizes superior support with its broadest blade design. This blade is strategically oriented against the superior endplate, enhancing stability and load support. This broad design ensures even distribution of mechanical forces, which reduces stress concentration and improves the overall stability of the vertebral body following augmentation. By maximizing the contact area within the vertebra, Tripod-Fix provides superior structural support, contributing to improved restoration and maintenance of vertebral height.

Tripod-Fix is the first expandable implant system for VCFs specifically engineered to prioritize anterior vertebral body height restoration. This design directly addresses kyphotic deformity, a characteristic feature of wedge fractures, the most prevalent form of VCFs. Biomechanical testing and clinical outcome studies have demonstrated that Tripod-Fix effectively restores anterior height, enhances sagittal alignment, and leads to significant pain reduction and functional improvement in patients.

Superior Stability

3-dimensional triangular structure increases enduring stability against multidirectional forces without tilting during expansion.

The Tripod-Fix expands into a 3-dimensional triangular shape, providing more stable structural support while preserving most of the trabecular bone for a more natural healing process through cement interdigitation. The upper broadest blade is designed to support the collapsed superior endplate, promoting optimal anatomical restoration in its natural direction. The two lower blades are designed to provide firm stability within the vertebral body, preventing implant tilt during expansion. Its unique three-dimensional expansion provides robust stabilization of the vertebral body, effectively restoring height and correcting deformities.

Precise Control

The triangular design is beneficial for flexibly targeting the ideal position with minimal risk of pedicle damage during expansion.

The triangular design allows for accurate placement within the vertebral body, enabling surgeons to target the optimal implantation site based on the specific fracture type. During deployment, the device expands in a controlled manner, minimizing the risk of pedicle damage, especially in the posterior region. These features collectively enhance the safety and effectiveness of the Tripod-Fix system in managing VCFs.
